The studio was established in 1999 in Moscow. The primary goals are advancing of new technologies in art and developing of video creativity in Russia.
In the studio participates different filmmakers and video-artists, whose works were repeatedly recognized at the European and Russian festivals, such as ORFK of the CIS and Baltic countries "Kinoshok" (Anapa 2001-2003), Vallecas Puerta del Cine (Madrid 2001, 2002), «DreamCatcher» (Kiev, 2002), Days of slavic culture in Graz (Austria 2001), "Chistye Gryozy" (St.-Petersburg 2000, 2002), Oberhausen (Germany 2001), etc. The First film of the studio «Phantom Hope. Episode 1» (1999) has won a prize at VII Open Russian Competition for student's and debut films - the national award «St. Anna» (2000).
In 2002 the Videodom studio has acted as the organizer of First International Kansk Video festival (Kansk, Krasnoyarsk region) which competition has collected set of interesting video-works from 37 countries of the world. The festival became annual and the most powerful project of studio known not only in Russia, but also abroad.
For an operating time the studio has let out more own 30 short video films: «10 precepts», "Tourists", «Liana Online», «12 Views of Moscow», «Together against the Russia mafia», «Hell-2», «Goodbye, America!», «Ubergang», «12 Views of London», «Kinds of fishes», «Siberian Spring», etc., and also set of projects in the video-art field together with known Moscow media artists.
Besides, in 2001 the Videodom studio participated in creation of video-scenery to Goethe Institut's scale project «Passions on Matthew», and in 2002 participants of the studio Pavel Labazov and Andrey Silvestrov became video-directors of the new production, opera "Snow Maiden" in the Bolshoy Theatre. Cooperation with the main theatre of the country has proceeded in 2003-2004 now on staging the opera "Mazepa" with the glorified Robert Sturua as a director.
