It`s easy, but you have to get to Siberia first. After you are here you will join the festival and guests team that comes to Kansk annually from different cities of Russia. All screenings and other side events are free of charge.
We offer to you several ways to Kansk:
1. Tested, cheap and long. If you travel from abroad you can come to Moscow and then take the Transsiberian train to go to Kansk. We suggets there are many travel agencies to help you with train tickets, but if no - please, contact us directly and we book for you train tickets. Note, that the way from Moscow to Kansk will take 4 days. Also you will travel 4 days back. But if you have plenty of time to enjoy Transsiberian way, you`re welcome. Buy tickets to Kansk station. After you get to Kansk train station, you can order a taxi ot go by walk to the Festival Venue. Please, remember - nobody speaks English in Kansk. So, please, keep informed us of your visit!
2. Comfortable, but expensive. Unfortunately, the Kansk airport doesn`t work from the Soviet period. If you travel by plane, buy tickets to Krasnoyarsk city. There are some directs flights from European cities, but main number of flights to Krasnoyarsk are from Moscow, so it will be transit flight for you. Plane tickets to Krasnoyarsk cost much
or ask your travel agency to book. You can also send us request to book air tickets. Possibly, the festival team will also fly to Krasnoyarsk the same date, in this case we`ll manage for you free transfer from Krasnoyarsk to Kansk by festiaval bus (+ 4 hours).
As soon as you do above-mentioned things, you`ll precisely get to Kansk, to the Kansk Video Festival. Congratulations! The second main thing is your accomodation. We also offer you two ways:
1. "Glorious" Hotel Siberia. It is the biggest hotel in the city. You will enjoy all Soviet hotel service on your own backs if you will not be able to book proper rooms (in Russian we say "refined room" - uluchshenniy nomer). It`s not a suite room, but you will have shower in your room!!! The hotel Siberia has one main advantage, it`s very cheap. For example, if you book room with shower and toilet on the floor (there are some), it will cost dirt-cheap. Your decision!
2. Hotel Delika. Discovery of last festival. Very comfortable for guests as it is placed near the main festival venue. Perfect rooms and service. The restaurant is in the same building, as well as billiard, sauna, shops and all other entertainments. The real lack of this hotel is its size. All the rooms can be sold out beforehand to the festival team and guests.
So, now you have a room in hotel and you intend to visit festival events. All previous years screenings have been passing in the cinema theatre Vosckhod from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. All shows all free of charge. Welcome, watch and participate!
