monument to unknown artist

PUBLIC ART PROJECT (2009)

As is known, in 2008 The Palm Alley has appeared in Kansk. The children from Moscow, Kansk and Norilsk made the alley during the project of the children art studio DEZ#5. After the alley opening we decided to create the first open air contemporary art city-museum in Kansk. In the August  2009 another artwork was created there: The Monument To Unknown Artist (by unknown author).

On the last congress of unknown artists it was decided to build the monument in unknown city Kansk. One of the uknown artists had got a commisson to realise the artwork. It was possible to watch a working process of an unknown artist on a self-portrait (made from concrete) during the festival days. Opening party was held on 27th  of August 2009. In honour of an unknown artist the Deep Purple Puppet Show (by Alexey Kuztensov) performed near the monument.
