Palm Tree Alley

PUBLIC ART PROJECT (2007-2008)

Within the framework of the Festival 2008 there were many interesting side events. The main was the opening of the Kansk Palm Tree Alley. Moscow art-studio DEZ#5 started the project in 2007: during the year children from Norilsk, Kansk and Moscow were creating scetches of a frost-resisting Siberian palm tree. Twenty one best scetches had been chosen by the jury for the open-air permanent exhibition in Kansk. Young authors came to Kansk in the end of August 2008 to make full-scale palm trees.
