PUBLIC ART PROJECT (2009)
The project was realised in 2009 in Kansk city. The famous Russian contemporary artists, Alexander Vinogradov and Vladimir Dubossarsky, created posters for the films from the competition program directly on the buildings` facades. The opening of the Kansk Art Posters Gallery passed on 29th of August 2009.
The project was conceptual and nostalgic at the same time. Do you remember the old cinema hand-made posters? The images of heroes that didn`t match with the names beneath? They were disposable and painted over just after the screenings. We repeated this experience in the era of digital technologies and high-quality printing.
Many thanks for support: Kansk City Administration, Cinema Kosmos, Trade centre Port-Arthur, Kansk State Drama Theatre, City House of Culture, Kansk ZAGS (registry office), Children Art School, City Exhibition Hall
